Leicestershire win County Top Two Fours
Leicestershire today won the National County Top Two Fours competition at Beach House Park, Worthing.
After defeating Oxfordshire in the semi-final, Leicestershire then beat Cornwall in the final to claim the Balcomb Trophy.
For three of the Leicestershire team - John Torrington, Steve Wade and Andy Irons - it was their second title triumph at the Bowls England championships, having won the National Fours just four days earlier.
For Cornwall this was their second successive defeat in the final of the competition, having lost out to Derbyshire 12 months earlier.
