Lincolnshire win Sporting Highlights National Mixed Fours

Lincolnshire's Christine Gowshall, Tracy Dent, Jonathan Darley and Bernard Gowshall today won the Sporting Highlights National Mixed Fours Competition at Beach House Park, Worthing.

The Cleethorpes BC four beat Val Howley, Norah Holder, Darren Holder and Andy Knapper from Berkshire in the final.

They reached the final with a nail-biting 18-17 win over Heather Stapleford, Shirley Page, Tom Cawdell and Andrew Briden from Hertfordshire.

Knapper's four had beaten Suffolk's Lauren Finbow, Janet Howe, Stuart Gaught and Carl Finbow in the other semi-final.
