Herts duo win NFU Mutual 55 and Over Pairs

Donald Sheriff and Peter Adams from Hertfordshire, have won the Bowls England 55 & Over Pairs competition, sponsored by NFU Mutual.

The Royston BC duo beat Roger Martin and Tony Scarr from Perkins BC, Huntingdonshire, 27-11 in the final at Beach House Park, Worthing.

They had reached the final with a 23-17 win against Berkshire's Stewart Wright (Maidenhead Town) and Gordon Knapper (Desborough) 23-17.

In the other semi-final, Martin and Scarr beat Northumberland's Bill Pym (Cramlington) and John Cleverley (St Georges Hospital) 26-13.
