Dorset duo win pairs title

Dorset's Jamie Lockwood and Martin Pavey from Dorchester have won the Bowls England Men's National Pairs Championship.

They beat Michael O'Leary and his father Jeff from Epsom Park, Surrey, 24-11 in this afternoon's final at Beach House Park, Worthing.

The Dorchester duo prevented an all-Surrey final by beating Charles Bruder and Ian Honnor (Weybridge) in the semi-final.

Epsom Park beat Hampshire's Kevin Philip and Jim Marsland from Aldershot Traction in the other semi-final.
