Skelton wins National Singles Championship
Derbyshire's Simon Skelton from Stute BC has won the Jolliman Men's National Singles Championship at Beach House Park, Worthing.
England international Skelton, who lost in the final just 12 months ago to Devon's Sam Tolchard, beat Steve Tuohy from Egham BC in Surrey 21-20 to clinch the title.
Tuohy, who last represented England at international level in 1998, reached the final with a convincing 21-4 win against Matthew Lonie from Folkestone Park BC, Kent, in the semi-final.
Skelton fought back to beat Ian Drew from St Austell BC, Cornwall, 21-17 in the other semi-final having trailed 12-4 at one stage.
