Win an England bowls shirt and support our armed forces charities
Bowls England Members are being invited to bid for an England shirt signed by Tony Allcock MBE - and help raise funds for service charities at the same time.
Sergeant Phillip Woolsey, from the 1st Royal Tank Regiment based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, is organising a charity sports auction to raise funds for three service charities - Army Benevolent Fund, RAF Benevolent Fund and Help for Heroes.
The auction, which also features a range of signed memorabilia and sporting experiences from many other sports, will be held on Thursday 18th March.
Sergeant Woolsey explained: "Serving in the British Army is no ordinary job and, as you will no doubt see in the news, it has its dangers. I am therefore arranging the 'sports auction' in March to raise funds for, and increase awareness of, these three great causes. I would like to thank Bowls England for their generous donation and we will be pleased to receive bids from bowlers for this unique prize signed by one of the sport's most famous names."
Reserve bids are invited by 12nn on Wednesday 17th March. Please e-mail: 5187wools@armymail.mod.uk
Bids will also be taken on the day at the auction, but if a reserved bid is successful then Sergeant Woolsey will contact the winner directly to discuss payment.
