Welcome to Bowls England

Bowls England is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of Flat Green Lawn Bowls in England.

Responsibilities include:

Governance and Democracy

Members appoint the Council democratically through their Club and County Associations. These nominations bring specialist skills to the administration of Bowls England. The Chief Executive is responsible to the Board of Directors through its Chairperson. The Chief Executive also assists with the promotion of the sport and communicates with Government Departments and other external agencies.

Image

As the NGB, Bowls England has a responsibility to implement future policies and to promote the true value of the sport to all external agencies.

Communication

Bowls England actively communicates with and encourages feedback from its Members. This includes the production of newsletters, issuing of regular news releases to local and national media, the website and the Annual Conference.

Volunteers

Bowls England liaises with volunteer support agencies to ensure that information on new legislation is available to Bowls England Members, most of whom offer their services in a voluntary capacity.
