Gill Platt, from Wonersh BC, Surrey, brings a wealth of experience and know-how to the squad. She will provide an invaluable contribution to the delivery of success this summer.

Gill has been awarded lifetime membership by her county Surrey. This reflects her long career devoted to the game and the development of the sport in the Disability Bowls England community. Gill describes her early experiences as watching and playing the game with her sister using a set of woods her father crafted for her.

An inspiration to many up-and-coming players, Gill’s style and demeanour is the epitome of the games of bowls. Gill has been a Disability Bowls England International squad member since 2019 and has been involved in numerous International test matches.

She is a regular county player and has represented Surrey in the Johns Trophy and Walker Cup. Her Grandmother won the Middlesex singles in 1936, so Gill possesses that winning heritage and we look forward to more glory at Leamington.
