Commonwealth Medals: 4

Amy Pharaoh, perhaps better known to the bowls community as Gowshall before her recent wedding, is a senior member of the Squad, with a depth of experience and knowledge. She has a balance of skill and know-how of the game, which will be vital in delivering success at Leamington.

After becoming tired of watching the game on the sidelines, Amy took up the game and thought playing would be more enjoyable than simply being a spectator.

Like so many of the Commonwealth Squad, Amy’s inspiration came from her parents, and once she took up the game, it became a lifelong passion.

She secured Commonwealth bronze in 2002 and 2006, followed by a 2010 Gold in Delhi.

Amy’s domestic record is little short of incredible. A nine-time Champion of Champions and a serial winner both as a junior and senior player; her quality is beyond question.

Birmingham is the perfect opportunity for Amy to take the next step in a fantastic career by securing a home gold!
