As a thank you to the dedicated staff at Weston General Hospital, Ashcombe Park Bowling Club in Somerset have organised an NHS Day to give the staff a bit of light-hearted relief on 31st August.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic they have worked tirelessly, under pressure and in difficult circumstances to provide health care to the many who needed it.
48 members of staff have already signed up including nurses, doctors, housekeepers and physios, and after an introduction to bowls, the teams will compete against each other under the leadership of members of Ashcombe.
We hope that everyone has a fun and enjoyable day. Well done to Ashcombe Park for such a great initiative.
