The Bowls England Awards Night promises to be a glittering evening celebrating the great contribution made by players, officials, clubs, counties & volunteers in the sport.

How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are available to purchase here. Tickets can be purchased individually or as a table of ten. Individual tickets are £44.95 and tables cost £425 for ten guests.

Who can come?
Everyone! The Bowls England Awards Night is a fantastic opportunity to recognise bowls’ most deserving grassroots volunteers, officials and players for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months. Bring your family and friends along to celebrate.

What is on the menu?

Smoked, Dill & Beetroot salmon with potato salad, lemon oil & toasted brioche.


Filled with Somerset brie, sweet asparagus and toasted pine nuts, rested on a bed of
garden leaves with balsamic glazed cherry tomatoes.


Lined with asparagus and chestnut mushrooms with a madeira sauce. Served with
pommes anna and roast root vegetables.


Layers of wild mushrooms and rustic tomato sauce, glazed with mozzarella cheese on
roasted vine tomato & pepper sauce.


Light choux pastry profiteroles filled with a salted caramel Chantilly cream,
topped with chocolate sauce.

How will we be seated?
If you book a table, you will be seated with the people you list. If you book individual seats, we cannot guarantee who you will sit with.

What time do doors open?
Doors open at 6.15 pm for a drinks reception.

What should I wear?
The Dress code for the event is smart.

Do Bowls England offer refunds?
Tickets are transferable but not refundable. If they are transferred after Friday 3rd February, we will not be able to accommodate changes to the printed name card, meal choice and seating plan. If you are unable to attend the event and you have already bought a ticket, you are welcome to let a friend or relative use this ticket in your absence. If you are shortlisted and consequently are award a free ticket to the event and you have already purchased one we will refund you.

Do I need to show a ticket to get into the event?
For this event we will send you an email confirmation after booking. As we will have a guest list on the door, you will not need to bring the confirmation with you.

What should I do if I do not receive an email confirmation?
If you have booked as part of a table of 10, the email confirmation will be sent to the lead booker’s inbox. If you have not received your confirmation as expected, please first check your spam and junk email folders. If you still cannot find your confirmation, please contact

Can I purchase tickets on the door for this event?
No. To attend this event, you must pre-purchase a ticket. Tickets can be bought until Friday 3rd February. Tickets will be available from Monday 21st November.

Who is invited to the VIP reception?
There will be a VIP reception hosted by our Board and Presidential Team. Amongst the invitees will be Presidents, Board, Life Members, Hon Members, Past Presidents, Shortlisted VIPs and County Administrators.

I have bought a ticket and have been shortlisted, what do I do?
Congratulations on making the short list! If you have already purchased a ticket Bowls England will offer a full refund. Please contact Alternatively, you can transfer your ticket to a family member or a friend.

How do I get to the Athena and where should I park?

There are a number of car parks close to the Athena, with the multi-storey NCP Rutland Centre Car Park being the closest to the venue. Please see below for further information.
