Awards Night – Nominations now open!

The Bowls England Awards Night 2022 will celebrate the best of bowls, with recognition for players, clubs & volunteers alike.

This formal event, on the 19th February in Leicester, tickets will go on sale later this month. In the meantime, nominations for the relevant awards is now open.

These nominations are a chance to celebrate your efforts over the past 12 months, and have them officially recognised. We want to celebrate the amazing stories of 2021 and recognise the great contributions from the whole community. Tell us your story now!

Nominations close on Monday 6th December at 9am.

Club of the Year
Similar to the County Award, this will celebrate a club that has achieved success across all areas of club management and new initiatives.

This award will be decided by an expert panel, but is open to nominations.

Team of the Year
This award recognises the team that has performed admirably on the green over the past 12 month, at national, county or club level. That could be a team of any size, from Pairs all the way up to a Middleton or Johns.

This is open to nominations now. You can nominate your club for this award by clicking the button below. An expert panel will then decide the winner.

Story of the Year
A staple of the Bowls England calendar, this accolade celebrates an incredible marketing intiative at club or county level which has led to a growth in participation, or has increased exposure for the sport.

This award is now open for nominations. This will be shortlisted by an expert panel, with an online vote held to determine the winner.

Greenkeeper of the Year, sponsored by Dennis Mowers
This prize will be awarded to a greenkeeper at a club who has done outstanding work on their green which has helped increase participation.

Greenkeeper of the Year is open for nominations! Clubs & counties can nominate for this award by clicking on the button at the bottom of this page. This will be shortlisted by Bowls England, and the winner will be decided by Dennis Mowers & an expert panel.

Coach of the Year
Celebrating the best of the coaching community in England, this gong will honour the outstanding coach of the past 12 months, inspiring all participants.

Open for nominations now, this award will be decided by an expert panel featuring a Coach Bowls representative.

Official of the Year
This award will be presented to the club official who has gone above and beyond in 2021. Their work will have helped deliver great experiences for participants this year.

You can nominate someone for this award now, which will be decided by an expert panel including an EBUA representative.

Unsung Hero
Our sport is full of people who work tirelessly behind the scenes. This accolade will recognises someone who has contributed impressively to any area of voluntary activity to support the delivery of our sport.

Nominations for this are open now, which you can do by clicking below. The shortlist will then be put to an online vote to decide the winner.

Certificate of Merit
Our equivalent to a Lifetime Achievement Award, this will recognise someone who has made an outstanding contribution throughout their lives for a number of years.
