Bowls England has today announced the players to attend the International Training Day to be held at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, on Saturday 20th May.
Following the training day, the Performance Team will then confirm the team for the 2023 British Isles International Series, to be held in Ayr from Friday 30 June to Sunday 2 July inclusive, and the wider International Squad.
Performance Director Mo Monkton said: “2022 proved to be a great year for our teams with a record England medal haul at the Commonwealth Games, our relatively young squad claiming the overall team trophy at the European Championships and the junior international squad winning the women’s and combined trophies.
“As we look forward, our desire is to create a squad that can bring home success in the British Isles and World events this year, but also forms the start of our work to build towards the 2026 Commonwealth Games.”
We are delighted that Aviva, the Insurance, Wealth & Retirement company, are the new Principal Partner of the England Senior and Junior International Squads. Aviva branding will feature on the England Team’s kits as they compete on the international stage this summer, including the World Championships on the Gold Coast.
