Bowls England is delighted to announce the players that have been invited to attend the Under 25 International Squad Day on Sunday 5 July at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa.
The list of attendees includes several that impressed the Performance Team at the Amy Rose Bowl and White Rose Trophy.
The team for the U25 British Bowls International Series will be selected after the International Squad Day. This will be held at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September with England facing Ireland, Scotland and Wales across two days of fierce competition.
These players are a big part of the new Performance and Pathway Plan Bowls England have implemented using funding from Sport England that is set for the next four years.
The Pathway not only increase opportunities for young people to play the game, but to also enjoy its benefits and fulfil their potential is seen as fundamental to increase participation, broaden the diversity of our player base and develop and expand our current workforce of pathway coaches and leaders.
The appointments of Mark Hoile as Pathway and Talent Development Manager and Bernie Hill as Pathway and Talent Development Officer will ensure the National Pathway effectively develops world class England teams for years to come.
In 2025 our Women delivered a strong campaign — culminating in a final-session win over
Scotland to claim overall Gold whilst the Men clinched the overall Silver.
Alongside the upcoming Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and the U18s International series, this series will look to inspire a new generation of bowlers.
Through our Bowls’ Big Summer campaign, clubs will be hosting various open days and sessions and will have several casual bowls sessions available to book on Play-Bowls.com.
