Bowls England Welcomes Pegasus Homes as New Partner Ahead of Significant Year For The Sport

21st April, 2026

Bowls England is pleased to announce a new partnership with Pegasus Homes; a leading provider of high-quality homes designed exclusively for independent later living.

The partnership will bring to life both Pegasus Homes’ and Bowls England’s commitment in creating opportunities for people to remain active and social, through sport and communities.

Specialising in creating beautifully designed homes and vibrant communities for the over-60s, with a focus on wellbeing, connection and living well in later life, Pegasus Homes is a strong alignment with Bowls England’s goals -that everybody should have the opportunity to realise the joy and benefit of playing sport.

As one of the biggest sports for the over 65s, bowls plays an important role in the nation’s wellbeing and has a vitalising impact on players’ health, with 80% of bowlers saying it has a positive effect.

Initiatives like senior competitions and Bowls’ Big Summer – our upcoming campaign designed to inspire more people to try out the sport in the lead up to and post the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games – alongside the support from Pegasus Homes, will provide opportunities to assist in helping people live well in later life.

The announcement sees Pegasus Homes join Bowls England’s family of partners who each share its ambition to grow participation and strengthen communities through bowls.

Chris Powell, Chief Operating Officer at Pegasus Homes, said:

“We’re proud to be partnering with Bowls England at a time when there is a growing focus on helping people stay active and connected as they get older. Bowls is a sport that brings together wellbeing and community – values that sit at the heart of everything we do at Pegasus Homes. We’re excited to champion the sport through this new partnership and, in turn, Bowls England’s strong and shared philosophy of bringing life to years, over years to life.” “We’re proud to be partnering with Bowls England at a time when there is a growing focus on helping people stay active and connected as they get older.
