Bowls England has named 13 new caps in its team that will participate in the British Bowls Under 25 International Series to be held at Ayr Northfield BC, Scotland, on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September.
The team has been announced following the squad training day held at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, on Sunday 8 June.
The new caps include six players that have progressed from last season’s Under 18 International Team – Charlie Beeton (Suffolk), Luke Bell (Hampshire), Finley Williamson (Gloucestershire), Tegan Grewal (Leicestershire), Madi King (Somerset) and Rhianna Russell (Hertfordshire).
Mo Monkton, Performance Director, said: “We were delighted with the high quality of play exhibited by all members of the squad that attended the training day last Sunday. The team selected to travel to Ayr has a great combination of experience and those who will be new to this level of our sport. It is particularly pleasing to see several members of our Under 18 team make the step-up to the Under 25 team, as this demonstrates our pathway for junior bowlers is having a positive impact on their development.”
Junior Team Manager Nicola Bowe will lead our Aviva England team in Ayr, with support from Mal Evans (Performance Coach) and International players Amy Pharaoh and Tom McGuinness.
