As the 2025 Celebration Matches roll on, our Vice President Paul Green has been front and centre, helping clubs mark their special moments in style. Alongside fellow Vice President Kim Harris, Paul has attended a number of matches across the country, including recent visits to Waddesdon Bowls Club in Buckinghamshire and Warboys Bowls Club in Huntingdonshire, both celebrating their 100th anniversaries this year.
Reflecting on his time in the role so far, Paul shared:
“How’s my time as Vice President going? Simply living my best life! To travel around the country visiting so many clubs and seeing the excitement from everyone involved that they’re playing Bowls England for our anniversary match is just amazing. The clubs are always surprised about how many counties are represented and how far the players have travelled to make their day happen.
“The clubs we have visited so far are thrilled by the recognition and have put great effort into making us all very welcome. It has been an honour — and will continue to be — to represent Bowls England at club and national level.
“I’m giving something back to the sport I’ve loved for over 45 years, and it gives me a great sense of achievement whilst making memories that will last a lifetime.”
Keep an eye on our channels as we continue to celebrate clubs across the country throughout the season. Thank you to all the volunteers and members who have made the matches so special so far.
