Bowls England are pleased to announce the team that will be competing for England in the 2026 British Bowls International Series which will be held at Northfield Bowling Club, Ayr, Scotland, from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 June.
The majority of the players involved in 2025’s International Series double gold winning team have been understandably retained, with a few exciting new additions brought in all undoubtedly keen to make their mark.
The England Men’s team were unable to call on Sam Tolchard, Jamie Walker and Nick Brett due to their selection for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, however this has opened the door for high-class returnees and hot prospects new to the senior international stage.
2024 National Two-Bowl Singles Champion Tom Bishop is set to make his debut at the British Bowls International Series after scouts noted his particularly strong performance in the Balcomb Trophy Regional Finals, alongside Derbyshire’s Men’s Fours National Champion Philip Broughton, 2026 World Indoor Bowls Championship Mixed Pairs Bronze medallist Tom Holmes and 2025 Men’s Singles National Champion Isaac Jenner.
Jenner, who last year captained England in the U25 International Series, is a product of the Bowls England Junior Pathway, emerging through the U18s and U25s as a valued addition to the senior side.
The same can be said for new caps on the England Women’s team: Izzie White and Yasmina Hasan.
Both players have progressed through the Junior Pathway brilliantly, with White breaking onto the senior international scene in 2025 and Hasan securing her shot this season.
The pair are also recent National Champions (in the 2024 Women’s Singles and 2025 Junior Pairs respectively) and have performed well when representing England at junior levels.
They are joined as a new cap by former Wales international, Lauren Selway.
No stranger to the international stage, Selway plays at Kings BC in Devon and enjoyed a successful 2025, making it to the final of the Women’s Pairs at Victoria Park with her partner, Emma Cooper.
Much like the Men’s team, selection for Glasgow 2026 prevented three bowlers from being in the playing pool, namely Katherine Rednall, Amy Pharaoh and Sian Honnor.
There were also recalls for Glen Adams of Hendon BC in Middlesex and Jamie-Lea Marshall who is one of several team members coming out of Kingscroft BC in Leicestershire.
Captaining their respective teams will be 2025 European Mixed Pairs Gold Medallists, Dominic McVittie and Annalisa Dunham.
The pair bring a wealth of international experience to the table and will sit as positive figures for the younger members of the group to turn to when needed.
