The 2026 British Bowls U25 International Series ended the outdoor season at Victoria Park with a bang as both the Men’s and Women’s competitions came down to the final bowl.
The Men’s competition saw Scotland narrowly miss a last-gasp drive which saw England take the gold medal in a reverse of fortunes from 2025.
The situation was flipped in the Women’s tournament, as England needed a result from the last shot to retain their title and deny Scotland a famous comeback win.
The final bowl was agonisingly close to doing enough, but the Scots took the end, the match and the Series in a thriller of a finish.

“It is a great honour to host this British Bowls event and to welcome some of the finest, up-and-coming talent from across Britain to Victoria Park – the site of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and home to the upcoming 2027 World Bowls Championship. I would like to congratulate all players on their selection and extend my best wishes to them and their Team Managers for what promises to be a highly competitive and exciting event. After a successful Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the future of our sport looks bright, and this British Bowls Under 25 International Series will showcase many of our sport’s future stars.
“The event would not happen without the fabulous support of our wonderful volunteers and supporters. Thanks also go to Warwick District Council, Royal Leamington Spa Bowls Club, the English Bowling Umpires Association and our Bowls England Team for the hard work that has gone in to staging this event.”
Jon Cockcroft, Bowls England Chief Executive
