The curtain will fall on the 2021 competitive season with the final four titles in English lawn bowls decided this weekend in Royal Leamington Spa when Victoria Park plays host to the national inter-club finals.
There will be two action packed days as the top club sides in the country bid for success in the Men’s Club Two Fours and Top Club, the Women’s Top Club and the Tony Allcock Trophy, a mixed senior event.
Three clubs will compete in more than one event – Gerrards Cross (Buckinghamshire) in the Club Two Fours and Men’s Top Club; Wanstead Central (Essex) in the Women’s Top Club and Tony Allcock Trophy and Bromley (Kent) in the Men’s Top Club and Tony Allcock Trophy.
Local interest will be led by the host club, Royal Leamington Spa (Warwickshire), who will aim to put a stop to the bid by Kings (Devon) to win the Women’s Top Club for a third successive time.
Entry to the event will be free of charge and, given the relatively low numbers expected to attend, there is no requirement for evidence of double vaccination and/or lateral flow test by any attendees.
Toilets for spectators will be available within the clubhouse and on the corridor between the large meeting room and the café, and both Royal Leamington Spa BC and the café have confirmed that they will be open for refreshments during the event. The café will open from 8.30am.
Whilst it was not viable to keep the infrastructure of the National Finals up for another two weeks, limited seats will be available on a first served, first come basis. Spectators may also bring their own seats should they wish to do so.
Litter bins will be provided across the site and we kindly request that all players/spectators dispose of their own litter to keep the site tidy on behalf of all attendees.
There is no official event car park and spectators are advised to utilise car parking facilities (pay and display) within close distance of Victoria Park, details of which can be found here. The nearest disabled parking can be found at the Adelaide Bridge car park, which is a short walk to the greens.
