England duo receive SportsAid backing

6th June, 2023

Young England duo Nicole Rogers and Jack Pullin have each been awarded £1,000 by SportsAid to help support them with the cost of competing, training and participating in the sport of bowls following nomination by Bowls England.

SportsAid is a national charity dedicated to helping talented athletes achieve their ambitions and the awards are generously supported by the Thompson Trust.

2023 promises to be an exciting year for both players – with Jack named in the England team to participate at the World Championships in Australia whilst Nicole is in the Women’s International Squad and is also a non-travelling reserve for the World Championships.

Jack Pullin and Nicole Rogers receive SportsAid backing with a big season ahead of them.

Jack said: “I’d like to say a massive thank you to SportsAid for supporting me this year and to Bowls England for the nomination. I’m really looking forward to representing England in the World Championships and this award will help me to prepare for the event.”

Nicole added: “It’s been a great start to the season with selection for the international squad and being named as a reserve for the World Championships, and I’m very grateful to Bowls England and SportsAid for this award.”

SportsAid supports over 1,000 young athletes each year by providing them with a financial award to help towards training and competition costs.

Former recipients of SportsAid Awards include Sir Chris Hoy, Dame Laura Kenny, David Weir CBE, Sir Mo Farah and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill.
