Anti-Doping
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published the 2017 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods. This will come into force on 1st January 2017.
WADA releases the List and its Modifications in advance so that all stakeholders – in particular players – have ample time to familiarise themselves.
You are reminded that Bowls England is a signatory to the UK Anti-Doping Rules and these regulations are in force. The onus is on you to check any medication. Failure to do so and a ‘positive’ anti-doping test being provided will result in severe disciplinary action.
Current anti-doping guidance can be found at www.ukad.org.uk/documents/uk-anti-doping-rules. This should be read through carefully.
