International Squad Day | Preview

18th May, 2023

Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, plays host to the International Squad Day on Saturday 20th May from 10am.

Shortlisted Men and Women for 2023 International events will play a variety of matches under the watchful eyes of the Performance Team. All of them will be looking to impress on the green, with a place in the squad for the British Isles International Series to play for.

This year’s British Isles event will be held in Ayr from Friday 30 June to Sunday 2 July.

Performance Director Mo Monkton said: “2022 proved to be a great year for our teams with a record England medal haul at the Commonwealth Games, our relatively young squad claiming the overall team trophy at the European Championships and the junior international squad winning the women’s and combined trophies.

“As we look forward, our desire is to create a squad that can bring home success in the British Isles and World events this year, but also forms the start of our work to build towards the 2026 Commonwealth Games.”

We are delighted that Aviva, the Insurance, Wealth & Retirement company, are the new Principal Partner of the England Senior and Junior International Squads. Aviva branding will feature on the England Team’s kits as they compete on the international stage this summer, including the World Championships on the Gold Coast.
