Bowls England are pleased to be hosting an upcoming Para Assessment Day and would like to invite players with a physical disability or visual impairment with a formal Bowls Classification (B1-B8) and Directors for players with a visual impairment to nominate themselves for a place, for the opportunity showcase their skills for possible selection at this year’s International Para events.
The Para Assessment Day will be held at Nuneaton Bowls Club on Sunday 25th May and will see the Performance Management Team and International Scouts assessing players for possible selection for the 2025 Para Home Nations International Series.

Attendance at the assessment day will be at players/directors’ own cost and players will need to take their own adaptive equipment, including approved bowls wheelchairs, along with a copy of their Classification Certificate/Card.
Following the assessment day, a team will be selected to represent England in the Para British Bowls at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, taking place from Friday 27th – Sunday 29th June, with travel on Thursday 26th June.
2026 Commonwealth Games Selection Information
With the news of Bowls’ inclusion in the 2026 Commonwealth Games, the Performance Team are in the process of compiling a schedule of events, due to start in October 2025, to select and prepare the team. Working alongside the English Indoor Bowling Association (EIBA), the Performance Team will create opportunities for selection to select the best team to represent England.
Information regarding the selection process and dates/details of the preparation programme will be published in due course and shared across Bowls England channels.
