Job Vacancy | Media & Content Officer

11th March, 2022

With a new strategy, leadership and vision it is a great time to join our team at Bowls England. We’re recruiting for a Media & Content Officer to drive our digital channels, create some great content and promote this fantastic sport.

Our mission is to promote and develop the sport of bowls across England so it fully enriches the lives of its participants, connects communities and is in good health for future generations.  Our ambitious new strategy has been aimed to combat the challenges our sport faces and to take advantage of the huge opportunities that we have identified.

Our new Media & Content Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our social media channels, owning our email communications platform, keeping our website fully updated and leading on our content. Ideally, you’ll already love bowls and be knowledgeable about this sport, but that is not essential.

Mostly, we’re looking for a digital native who understands how to tell the many great stories our sport throws up. We want someone who is adaptable, happy working independently or in a team and is passionate about a career in sport.

If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you! The full job description is available here.

To apply, please send your CV, together with a covering letter explaining why you are suitable for this role, to Rob Short, Head of Communications, at rob.short@bowlsengland.com.  Please use the job title as the subject.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Thursday 31st March. We encourage all interested candidates to apply as soon as possible, as we will be reviewing applications as they come in and reserve the right to close the job opening before the closing date.
