More places are booked at National Finals | Regional Finals Review

9th August, 2022

Whilst the Commonwealth Games took centre stage last weekend, the third set of Bowls England Regional Finals were held at venues across the country.

Across three days of packed action, the final eight in the Senior Singles, Senior Pairs and Champion of Champions for both men and women were determined.

Devon’s Louis Ridout, fresh from his Men’s Triples gold medal success at the Games, secured his passage to the quarter-finals of the Men’s Champion of Champions, where he will face Chris Ashdown from Kent. Also through are father and son duo Mark and Scott Walton plus Harry Goodwin, who featured in the European Championships last month.

However, there was disappointment for his fellow Games team mates Amy Pharaoh, Natalie Chestney and Performance Director John McGuinness who lost out in the qualifying rounds.
