Play continued in sweltering conditions at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa today in the National Mixed Pairs Competition, supported by the Friends of English Bowling.
Previous finalists from 2017 Elaine Score & Edward Morris overcame Charlene Turpie and Andrew Briden (Buckinghamshire) 21-18 in the second round this morning however a second final appearance in 2 years was not to be. Sara Trotter and Dave Mason (Kent) who earlier today defeated Sarah Bowen and Joe Sharp (Hampshire) 17-14 ended Score & Morris’ hopes, at 14-14 a count of 7 to lead 21-14 with 6 ends remaining led the way to Trotter and Mason’s first final appearance with a 24-17 victory.
Meanwhile in the other semi-final Wiltshire’s Lucy Smith and Mikey Titcombe dashed any title hopes for Jamie-Lea Winch and Joe Dawson thanks to a 24-19 victory.
