    Winch wins Women’s Two-Wood Singles Championship

    Leicestershire’s Jamie-Lea Winch has won the Bowls England Women’s National Two-Wood Singles Championship, supported by the Friends of English Bowling.

    Leicestershire’s Jamie-Lea Winch has won the Bowls England Women’s National Two-Wood Singles Championship, supported by the Friends of English Bowling.

    Winch defeated Devon’s Sophie Tolchard in the final at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, to take the crown. Winch and Tolchard defeated Somerset’s Marilyn Gozna and Buckinghamshire’s Mary Price respectively in the semi-finals.

    Results:

    Semi-Finals:
    J Winch (Kingscroft, Leics) bt M Gozna (Portishead RBL, S’set) 15-6;
    S Tolchard (Kings, Devon) bt M Price (Burnham, Bucks) 18-3;

    Final:
    J Winch (Kingscroft, Leics) bt S Tolchard (Kings, Devon) 16-10;

    The Bowls England National Championships, sponsored by AeroBowls, run until Sunday 3rd September.

    Full results of all matches will be published at the conclusion of each session on the Bowls England website and social media channels. All draws, including results, may be viewed on the Bowls England Competitions Portal at: https://bowlsengland.247.tv/

    Entry to the championships is free of charge. Chargeable parking is available in Victoria Park and in nearby town centre car parks.
