TIGER BOWLS WORLD INVITATION & CHINA OPEN 2018
Bowls England is offering its affiliated members the opportunity to compete at the 2018 Tiger Bowls World Invitation and China Open.
Organised by the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Training Centre, the 21st Tiger Bowls World Invitation will take place on the 10th and 11th March 2018 followed by the 7th China Open from the 13th to 17th March 2018.
Jacky Wong, President of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Training Centre, said: "These prestigious tournaments are poised to become one of the signature bowls events on the International Bowls Calendar. Being one of the largest annual International Lawn Bowls events in the world, Tiger Bowls has, in the past, attracted over 500 bowlers to take part in the event. To make these events even more competitive and exciting, invitations are sent to all national members of World Bowls and also all local clubs in Hong Kong to participate in.”
The entry fee and hotel accommodation will be provided by the event organisers for nine nights from 9th to 17th March 2018, with breakfast, lunch and dinners all included. Transportation between the tournament venue and hotel will also be provided on competition days, as well as a one day sightseeing tour to Macau, China, Tiger Bowls shirts and other souvenirs.
Players will be expected to arrange and pay for flights and any additional expenses. Any prize money will be split between the players and prize presentation dinners will be hosted on Sunday 11th March in Hong Kong and on Saturday 16th March 2018 in Shenzhen, China.
Bowls England’s affiliated members may register their interest in participating in this event on the strict understanding that every player reads and comprehends the conditions of entry.
