Birmingham 2022: Women’s Triples Gold Medal

Previous Commonwealth Games: 3

Commonwealth Medals: 4

Sian was attracted to the game early, playing in Carpet Bowls matches alongside her grandparents. She is an outstanding talent and another of our Commonwealth gold medal winners.

Born in Canterbury, Sian began playing bowls for Milton Regis BC, Sittingbourne, from the age of seven. The early games played with her grandparents created a love for the sport and started a glittering career for the 34-year old.

Sian can now include five Commonwealth Games to her bowls CV, including the 2004 Junior Commonwealth games in Australia.

A serial international medal winner, Sian has become used to success, and her experience will play a crucial factor on the green this summer.

Securing Commonwealth gold in Glasgow 2014 and two bronze medals in 2010 & 2018 underlines how consistent her performances are.

This has been built on a stellar domestic record that includes victories in the Amy Rose Bowl and John’s Trophy.

This consistent success with international experience provides the squad with a key player and an excellent medal prospect.
