‘BOWLS IS BOWLS’ ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF BOWLS ENGLAND
Bowls England is delighted to announce ‘Bowls is Bowls’ as official title sponsor of the 2018 Women’s National Singles Championship.
‘Bowls is Bowls’ is working to promote all formats of bowls equally and to increase participation in the sport of bowls by working with ‘Bolt Bowls Development’ headed by England International David Bolt – who returned from the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a Bronze Medal in the Men’s Fours,.
Tony Allcock MBE, Bowls England Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted to announce our agreement with ‘Bowls is Bowls’ for the 2018 season. Increasing participation in our sport is a top priority and I am sure that the involvement of such a highly-regarded figure such as David can only be of benefit to all parties in achieving our goal.”
David Bolt added: “I have been very fortunate to play bowls at the highest level for a number of years, and I am keen to give something back to the sport that I love. Indeed, it is vital to the sport’s long-term future that we encourage new players into our sport, especially girls and younger women. I am therefore delighted to be able work with ‘Bowls is Bowls’, who are the title sponsor for the Women’s National Singles Championship, and I am hopeful that the interest generated will have a positive impact on future players.”
The Bowls England National Championships will be held at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, from Saturday 4th August to Sunday 2nd September 2018 inclusive.
