Sport England
Bowls England is supported by Sport England both in terms of funding to help the International Programme be successful at the Commonwealth Games, but also to support Bowls England’s work to grow and diversify participation.
Sport England is arms-length body of government responsible for growing and developing grassroots sport and getting more people active across England. They are working to keep movement, sport and physical activity central to the lives of everyone through a combination of National Lottery funding and grant-in-aid from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, which classifies us as a non-departmental government body. Around two-thirds of our funding comes from lottery players.
