BOWLS ENGLAND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
A new Bowls England’s strategy is set to be launched in January 2021.
In working towards a revitalised strategic plan, we have recognised that it is the right time to provide a framework for the development and health our sport needs over the next few years. To help enable growth, we will nurture the best elements of our sport, whilst looking to explore new opportunities to progress.
The strategic plan will:
- Provide an exciting vision to motivate all those involved in the sport
- Help align the considerable efforts of all those who do so much to progress our sport
- Identify and support the prioritization of work that is most important to our members
- Provide a means of articulating our value to existing and future stakeholders.
Bring your voice to the discussion
We believe that everyone has a part to play in shaping the future of our sport. There is an opportunity for everyone who has an interest in bowls to shape the decisions that Bowls England, as the National Governing Body, makes. By understanding the needs and wishes of the bowls community, we will be able to respond in a way that will enable us to best serve our sport.
The initial focus will be consultation with players, clubs, county associations and volunteers through a mix of surveys and focus groups broken down into seven key areas:
- Club Services
- Player Acquisition
- Player Retention
- Coaching and Junior Development
- Volunteering and Governance
- Birmingham 2022
We will also be talking to key stakeholders and non-bowlers to understand what we need to consider to attract new audiences and new players.
Bowls England would like to encourage all those that care about the sport to have the opportunity to contribute to the discussions. Just e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
