Two exciting opportunities to join our staff team!

19th March, 2021

With a new strategy, leadership and vision it is a great time to join our team at Bowls England.

Our mission is to promote and develop the sport of bowls across England so it fully enriches the lives of its participants, connects communities and is in good health for future generations.  Our ambitious new strategy has been aimed to combat the challenges our sport faces and to take advantage of the huge opportunities that we have identified.

In order to fulfil our new strategy, we have two opportunities to join our team:

Clubs and Participation Officer
You’ll be someone who has a background in sports participation, who has developed participation products and possesses in-depth knowledge of the workings of local sports clubs. You will be an engaging relationship-builder able to present ideas convincingly and facilitate effective collaboration. You’ll be a highly organised self-starter, able to manage multiple action plans and motivate those around you. Most of all you’ll be excited about the challenge of getting more people to realise the joy and benefit of playing bowls.

People and Governance Officer
You’ll be someone who has experience working in a people-orientated role, possibly within an HR or volunteer context. You will be passionate about supporting and developing, and have a natural ability to build relationships, encourage others and affect positive change. You’ll be a highly-organised, team player and capable of managing your time across a variety of projects. Most of all you’ll be excited about the challenge of strengthening the bowls workforce and reputation of Bowls England.

We live and breathe our values, appreciate these qualities in others and look for these characteristics in new members of the team. If you’re collaborative, adaptable, responsible and encouraging, you’ll definitely fit in.
