Bowls England is delighted to announce the 24 players who have been invited to attend the Under 18 International trial at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, on Sunday 15 June.
The announcement takes into account playing history and performances by junior bowlers at the recent Amy Rose Bowl and White Rose Trophy plus the Under 18 Bowls England Singles event held earlier in May.
Following the trial the 12-strong team for the British Bowls Under 18 International Series to be held in Ayr, Scotland, in July will be selected and announced.
Performance Director Mo Monkton said: “The British Bowls Under 18 Series provides the first taste of international competition for many of our young bowlers. This trial will provide a great opportunity for aspiring internationals to display their ability in front of members of the Performance Team, and we are confident that the selected team will build on our recent strong performances in this event.”
The British Bowls Under 18 International Series will be held at Ayr Northfield BC, Scotland, on Sunday 20 and Monday 21 July. The event is played by mixed teams in a variety of disciples across the two days of competition.
