The Bowls Development Alliance (BDA) plays a key role in supporting its partner National Governing Bodies, including Bowls England, to develop our sport.
It is now seeking a Managing Director to work across the codes to invest government funding effectively and to inspire more people to participate.

Position: Managing Director
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum, plus £160.00 per month extra Essential Car User Allowance.
Location: BDA Head Office, Pera Business Park, Nottingham Road, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LE13 0PB.
Office based with National travel , however we will consider a flexible home working arrangement.
Contract: Full time, 37 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekend work required. The post is offered on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2021 which is likely to be extended to 31st March 2022 subject to confirmation of funding.

The Bowls Development Alliance (BDA) was established in 2010 by the four Bowls National Governing Bodies , in conjunction with Sport England , to work across the codes to develop the game , invest government funding effectively and to inspire more people to participate in the sport.
Job Description:
The BDA are entering a period of exciting change. The organisation is looking forward to the future and developing the sport with a strategy to liaise effectively with all governing bodies , creating an environment of shared understanding , strategic and effective day-to-day collaboration.
The organisation is recruiting a Managing Director to raise the profile of the sport of bowls with key relationships , stakeholders & partners.
As Managing Director your work will be to lead the organisation in conjunction with the Chair and Board of Directors to ensure the strategic and sustainable direction of the BDA , ensuring that all outcomes as agreed with Sport England are met for the period 2017-2021 and to prepare its submission for the next SE funding cycle 2022-2026.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of Sport England & National Governing Body environments and working successfully in a matrix stakeholder environment.
Experience of developing a sports funding submission or similar. Working with sports clubs ,volunteers , and engendering behaviour change in the leisure industry.
Good inter-personal skills , with a team-oriented mentality , excellent communication skills and an ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers alike. Resilient , with a can-do attitude with a determination to deliver results.
