Bowls’ Big Weekend! Our national open weekend returned for 2023 which took place from Friday 26th May to Monday 29th May inclusive.

Bowls’ Big Weekend gives the bowls community the great opportunity to come together and celebrate our great sport, with clubs opening their doors for new people to start their bowls journey.

We were thrilled to have our new partner Aviva on board for this year’s event. 750 events took place across four days, with more than 550 affiliated clubs signed up to play their part in growing our game and showing just how friendly and welcoming bowls clubs are. Club data is continuing to roll in, and initial indications are that clubs saw a significant increase on the average number of people through the door, which was 16 per club in 2022.
