Sport England funding to our sport is channelled through the Bowls Development Alliance (BDA) in support of our sport.
The BDA’s primary goal is to increase participation in bowls whilst ensuring the sport is inclusive and accessible for all. Its services are only available to outdoor flat green clubs that are affiliated to Bowls England.
We work closely with the BDA in a number of areas, most notably:
- Bowls’ Big Weekend
- Bowls Bash
- Club Development Programme
- Club Health Checker
- Club Education and Training
- PlayBowls
The BDA has specialist support across the country to provide dedicated support to all Bowls England affiliated clubs.
We are also working with the BDA to increase the diversity of people playing our sport, and this has included our dedicated work on diversity and inclusion.
