Management Audit and Review Committee

 

Our Management Audit and Review Committee (MAR) was formed in 2018 with the mission of protecting the interests of members of the sport by ensuring that effect controls, safeguards and processes are in place.  The Committee is responsible to the Board of Bowls England.

 

The Management Audit and Review Committee is governed by Regulation 8, and the current scope of work can be found here.

 

The facilitator of the MAR committee on behalf of the board is:

 

Dr Anna Molony

Anna will join as Senior Independent Director and a representative of the Board. Over the course of her professional career, Anna has worked at a strategic level in two companies that she has founded and successfully grown. As a facilitator of the Management Audit & Review Committee, she has also been involved in carrying out successful reviews of the Management Accounts, Risk Register and Business Continuity Plan amongst others.

 

The region representatives are:

 

Vivien Wilton-Middlemass from Yorkshire represents the North

Vivien has joined the MARC team as a representative of the Northern Zone Counties. Besides being the Ladies` Secretary for Yorkshire Bowling Association, a position she has held for the past 7 years, and a keen bowler, she comes with a wealth of business and charitable work experience. She founded and ran her own successful international Company for 25 years and has held the posts of Governor and Chair of Governors for a Special Needs Charity for 18 years.  She has been responsible for various organisations’ strategic development and the implementation thereof and is interested in being part of the team moving the sport of bowls forward and fit for purpose!

 

Stewart Wright from Berkshire represents the South

Stewart is the current County Administrator for Berkshire and has been involved with the sport for forty years serving in a club and County official capacity for three decades.
Stewart is a playing member of Maidenhead Town since 1995 and has been President for the last five years. As an accountant with Scottish and Southern Energy Stewart has considerable experience in corporate structures, policies and processes

 

Tony Ellis from Essex represents the East

Tony has been the Administrator and Bowls England delegate for Essex Bowling Association for many years. He joined the Management Audit & Review Committee at its inception in 2018.

 

Kath Lloyd from Wiltshire represents the West

Kath’s background is in accountancy and auditing. She has worked for and belonged to Sports associations from university days to date, at work and voluntary, locally and nationally. She has enjoyed helping with the Bowls England Finance Committee and now Bowls England Management and Review Committee. She also supports the Friends of English Bowling as Chairperson and Bowls Wiltshire as Bowls England Councillor
