Recruitment is the single most important issue facing bowls clubs across the country.

Many clubs run annual recruitment open days, take part in Bowls’ Big Weekend or rely on word of mouth amongst friends and family to maintain its participant numbers.

Bowls England are looking to provide help in how a club can create a recruitment approach that allows a club to understand why people want to play at their club. Creating a recruitment policy, who to recruit and how together with a number of ideas to raise the profile of your club, are all covered in this section.

Affiliated clubs have access to …
  • Creating a Recruitment Strategy
  • Understanding and overcoming recruiting issues
