Fundraising & Loans
The BE Loans Scheme, is just one of the many ways that Bowls England helps its member clubs.
A total of £650,000 is allocated to support clubs affiliated to Bowls England who wish to improve their facilities.
In doing so, Bowls England enables clubs to develop whilst at the same time putting its reserves to good use for the benefit of members.
A Club Loan may be used for any reasonable purpose including:
- Purchase of lawn mowers, scarifiers, turf irons or sprinkler systems
- Repair of ditches and banks
- Clubhouse development
- Fencing
- Car parking
- Changing rooms
All clubs applying for a Club Loan must have been affiliated to Bowls England for a minimum of three years prior to application. Details of repayment periods and administration fees applied can be found here Loans Repayment Admin Fees.
To apply for a Club Loan, please visit the enquiry form – please note only members are able to apply.
We have partnered with two organisations to provide fundraising opportunities without too much hassle. Your club can raise money whilst your members shop or even get paid when you members ask for an insurance quote (they don’t have to take the quote for you to get paid but they may just save themselves some money at the same time!).
What is easyfundraising and how does it work?
It’s a very simple idea – when anyone connected to your club uses the easyfundraising website or app to shop online, the retailer they shop with sends your club a free donation at no extra cost to the shopper.
Your members won’t need to change where they shop as all their favourite retailers are involved, including Amazon, M&S, Sainsbury’s, eBay, Argos, John Lewis, Boots, Screwfix, Waitrose, Holland & Barratt and 4,300 other retailers.
It’s completely free for both your club and your members to use, and it won’t cost your members anything extra to shop this way as the retailers pay the donations, not the shoppers.
To get started, you simply need to register your club with easyfundraising and create your club’s fundraising page. It’s very quick to set up and also free.
Once registered, you’ll be assigned a fundraising coach, to support you in spreading the word to your club network and help you raise as much as possible.
Sutton Winson’s’ Pitch In is an easy way for members and supporters to get involved and help raise money for their club. If your members are in the market for Buildings, Contents or Vehicle Insurance you could earn some cash when they look for a price.
How does Pitch In work?
Get a free no-obligation home or car quotation from us and we’ll give £10 back to your chosen community. If you decide to buy that insurance quote from us, we’ll pay an additional £20, or more!
Simply click here to register.
And for each year you decide to stay with us, we’ll continue to Pitch In and pay the same amount of funding to your chosen cause.
