Clubs are full of extremely hard working volunteers who look to set their club up in the best and most efficient way possible.

The management of a club is vital in how much time is spent on the more fun stuff on the green.  Clothing guidance and Health & Safety assistance can be viewed; such as how you can protect any of your club members when bowling alone.

Bowls England have also created a number of documents and templates that will help with a clubs structure (legal), how it creates a workforce of volunteers and we offer advice on writing job specifications for roles within your organisation.

Affiliated clubs have access to…
  • Club Page
  • Club Health Checker Tool
  • Workforce & Volunteer Management
  • Template Job Specifications
  • Legal Status and Constitutions
  • Coloured Clothing Guidelines
  • Health & Safety

If you require any further information please contact our Clubs & Participation team.

All Bowls England affiliated clubs are issued with a User Name and Password to access the site. Please contact your Bowls England club contact (normally your club’s secretary) for these details.  We are unable to create individual accounts and you must log in using the club credentials.

Managing Your Club Page on the BE Website

Every Affiliated club to Bowls England  is allocated its own page.  Think of it as a free advertising space to promote your club to anyone looking for somewhere to play.

What is your Club Page?

Make sure the details are accurate and up to date, and the contact names and numbers reflect the right person to speak to.

You can upload a photo to show your club in its best light and the map feature allows anyone to find you!

You can find your club page by searching in our Club & Counties Directory

Club Page User Guide

Please look at the  Club Page User Guide here.  This is where you will find advice on how to make any changes to your page, such as contact details or links to websites, and how to upload a photo.

This is also where the club contact can find out how to amend the club login and password details if required.

Club Health Checker Tool

In conjunction with the Bowls Development Alliance (BDA), we are delighted to launch the Club Health Checker – which will help your club to understand its strengths and areas for improvement across a number of key areas including club membership, recruitment and finance.

Club Health Checker Tool

The new online tool will be available free of charge to any of our affiliated clubs and aims to help you to get a better understanding of the financial health of your club, your development needs and to support growth in membership.

All you need to do is complete a 30-minute survey that will create a report customised to your club. Once you have received your report, you can book a free appointment with one of the BDA team to discuss your report and get guidance in the creation of an action plan. It is not a ‘Pass or Fail’ assessment but rather a tool to help committees assess the current condition of the club and identify areas for development.
