Originally we started as Cambridgeshire Men’s & Ladies Bowling Associations in 1926, operating as separate Associations until the end of 2008. With the modernisation of the game in 2009 we became a unified organisation as Bowls Cambridgeshire.
We have many bowlers both Men & Women who have represented the English Bowling Association since 1946 with E. Huckle and G A Turner in 1951 to name but a few.
More recently Ellen Falkner, Richard Catton, Robert Drew have achieved senior international honours, with Jamie Barker, Alex Walton and Rebecca Moorbey bringing a new style and influence to the game of bowls at junior level.
Falkner has represented Team England at Commonwealth Games and World Events, winning several medals, in addition to claiming National and British Isles titles.
We aim to continue to develop, promote the game of Lawn Bowls in Cambridgeshire by achieving the maximum participation and success within the County and Nationally.
Photographs of players are updated on our web page using Facebook at regular intervals, details of our competitions are updated daily during the season. Details of our Officers are also available on our website for those wishing contact us.
