We are committed to supporting club management teams to increase their capability and empower them to thrive.
The ‘Week of Learning’ is a series of free webinars open to all affiliated clubs – covering a wide range of topics including club recruitment, coaching, funding and safeguarding.
Delivered in conjunction with our partners at the Bowls Development Alliance, this forms a key part of our education programme to clubs.
Registration for the March series is now open – with a total of 15 webinars being held from Monday 11 to Friday 15 March inclusive.
We were delighted to have record-breaking attendance for January’s Week of Learning, with 256 people joining the various sessions.
Peter, who attended a number of sessions during the week, highlighted:
“I enjoyed the recent series of workshop sessions, and in particular the ‘Play Bowls and Bowls Bash’ one. That exceeded my expectations and I am very keen to ‘sell’ both schemes to my committee.”
Jane Binner of Old Coulsdon BC was on hand to support us with delivery of the Bowls’ Big Weekend webinar to other clubs. Jane said:
“We are delighted to be given the opportunity, by Bowls England, to help support the delivery of their learning programme and share Old Coulsdon’s ideas on how to advertise, run and follow up the Bowls’ Big Weekend. It is a fundamental part of our clubs’ recruitment strategy and we certainly see the benefits. 12 brand new members from a day!”
