Nominations for our International Trials and Junior Development Day in May are now open and junior players will be showcasing their skills under the watchful of of the selectors as they bid for spots in the upcoming international fixtures this summer.
Players and counties have until Wednesday 20th March to get their nominations in as part of our commitment to providing opportunities for international representation.
Last year, we saw over 100 young players displaying their skills in front of the England Performance Team and Senior England Squad. check out our video of the day:
If you would like to nominate a player, please below guidance and information regarding the nomination process:
DATES
Saturday 18th May: U25 International Trial and Full International Trial
Sunday 19th May: U18 Development Sessions & U18 International Trial
All events will be held at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa.
NOMINATION PROCESS
Nominations must be completed ONLINE either by players themselves OR by County Team Managers/representatives. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday 20th March at 9am.
If the nomination is submitted by a County Representative, please ensure that players have confirmed their availability to attend the relevant trial/s and/or event/s if selected.
Nominations will then be considered and a limited number of players invited to attend each assessment session.
NOMINATION CRITERIA
Players fulfilling the following criteria are invited to nominate for a place in one or more of the groups.
Junior Development
• Be under the age of 18 years on April 1st 2024
• Have played bowls for one year or more and represented the club or junior section in matches
U18 International Trial
• Be under the age of 18 years on April 1st 2024
• Have played bowls for one year or more and represented the club or junior section in matches
• Have participated in club/county/Bowls England competitions and played in the White Rose Trophy or Amy Rose Bowl competition (if county entered a team)
U25 International Trial
• Be under the age of 25 years on April 1st 2024
• Have played at club/county level, entered club/county/Bowls England competitions and played in the White Rose Trophy or Amy Rose Bowl competition (if county entered a team)
• Entered and progressed in the Bowls England National Championships and/or National Competitions
Full International Trial
• Represented your county in the Middleton Cup or Balcomb, Johns or Walker.
• Entered and progressed in the BE National Championship Competitions.
HOW TO NOMINATE
