After the success of winning gold for Team England in the Women’s Triples at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Natalie Chestney has had her Golden Gateway plaque installed at Kings BC in Devon.
Team England has been installing Golden Gateway plaques at gold medal-winning athletes’ desired venues up and down the country across all sports since Birmingham 2022 concluded as a symbol of their remarkable achievements.
And Natalie, who also claimed Gold in the Women’s Singles in Delhi 2010, elected to have her plaque at the Torquay-based club that is home to her and also Birmingham 2022 teammates Sophie Tolchard, Sam Tolchard, Louis Ridout and Jamie Walker.
Natalie said: “Being able to present my Golden Gateway plaque to Kings BC was a wonderful moment. I’ve been honoured to represent Team England for the last four Commonwealth Games and have proudly done so as a member of Kings. The support I’ve received from the club and my team mates over the years has been incredible and they have been a huge part of my journey; I cannot thank them enough.”
